Foodscapade: Lydia's Lechon Restaurant Timog Avenue

It’s already been a two-day craving and the intensity grows stronger and stronger each day. Finally one Bebe Wednesday, we got to satiate our stomachs with Lydia’s famous lechon. Though there are already other brands coming up these days like Hecky’s and Elar's, there’s nothing much more comforting than having the lechon we’ve been tasting since we were kids.

Arriving at Lydia’s in Timog Avenue, behold the sight of a glorious Lechon which we’ve been craving for for days. Seemingly all crispy and juicy, we immediately ordered two of their value meals wherein you get to pick from two of their viands namely: Kare-Kare, Bopis, Paksiw na Lechon, and their famous Special Lechon, of course. I had Paksiw and Lechon while A had Kare-Kare and Lechon.

The first Lechon piece we had felt like we were sent straight to heaven. It was succulent and packed with so much flavor once you pair it with their sweet and peppery liver sauce. On the other hand, their Lechon Paksiw and Kare-Kare were nice partners.

Truly, Lydia’s didn't fail to satisfy our cravings. We rarely have pork since we’re becoming more conscious about our health these days. But one thing is for sure, when we crave for pork, Lydia’s Lechon is something that’ll definitely be at the top of our list. L
